
Jabesh Amissah-Arthur

Ing. Jabesh Amissah-Arthur is a distinguished energy expert with over four decades of leadership in Africa’s power and energy sector. As Managing Partner at Arthur Energy Africa (AEA), he drives organizational strategy, oversees project execution, and fosters client relationships across diverse markets. His work spans strategic planning, policy analysis, project development, and contract negotiations for major energy infrastructure initiatives.
A Fellow of the Ghana Institution of Engineers, Jabesh has held influential roles including Board Chair of Volta River Authority, CEO of Bui Power Authority, and Board Chair of the West African Gas Pipeline Authority. He has led landmark projects such as the 400 MW Bui Hydroelectric Project and contributed to regional energy integration through the West African Power Pool.
His expertise covers:
- Power utility operations and management
- Structuring and financing major infrastructure projects
- Tender adjudication and bid evaluation
- Negotiations of PPAs, JVs, GSAs, PSAs, and EPC contracts
Jabesh holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He has also completed advanced professional training in infrastructure financing at the University of Dundee, UK.
